LAGOS, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- "I am disappointed because we had more chances than Argentina," said Nigerian football team coach Siasia, local media reported Sunday.

"But in football it is the team that scores wins a game. Just one mistake and they cashed on it and got their goal. Mistakes do happen," he said.

"That's how teams score. We did the best we could. I'm pleased with the boys but disappointed that we are not leaving here with gold," he said. "We were tactically good but in football when you don't score you don't win. Argentina got a goal, a beautiful one for that matter, and they are the Olympic champions," he added.

He said Nigerian goal keeper should have waited a little bit more before coming out, adding, "I did the best that I could. Talking to them, doing the tactical things that we needed to do. We have to give kudos to Argentina for that beautiful goal."
