Mauritania's official newspaper Horizons told Xinhua
that Waghef was re-detained for defying the State Council's regulations to leave
Noukchott without permission.
Waghef planned to attend a demonstration in
Nouadhibou against leaders of the Aug. 6 coup that ousted and arrested President
SidiMohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi and Waghef.
Waghef was freed five days later and Abdallahi was
still in detention.
