    BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Russian Silnov claimed the men's high jump title with the final result 2.36 meters of at the Beijing Olympics on Tuesday.

    Germaine Mason from Britain took the silver with 2.34 meters, and Yaroslav Rybakov from Russia, who also overcame 2.34 meters in his first attempt but cleared the 2.32 meters in his third attempt (Mason in his first), had to settle with bronze.
