Chinese teenager divers
win gold at Beijing Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese teenager
divers Lin Yue and Huo Liang clinched the gold of the men's 10m
platform synchronized at the Beijing Olympic Games here on
Monday.
Lin and Huo, winners in 2007 Melbourne worlds,
led throughout the final to win the second diving gold for China

Chinese win women's
synchro platform diving
BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Wang
Xin/Chen Ruolin won the women's synchronized platform diving gold
medal with 363.54 points at the Olympic Games on Tuesday.
Australia's Briony Cole/Melissa Wu claimed the
silver with 335.16 points and Mexico's Paola Espinosa and Tatiana

World champ Qin/Wang
maintain Chinese supremacy in 3m springboard
BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Defending world
champions Qin Kai and Wang Feng made it fourth Olympic diving title
for China when they twirled to a comprehensive victory in the men's
3m springboard synchronized final here on Wednesday.
With their clean victory, dominant China has
swept all of the four golds in synchronized diving events at the

Olympic champ Guo golden
for China in 3m springboard, setting record
BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Triple Olympic
champion Guo Jingjing bagged women's 3m springboard gold at Beijing
Olympics on Sunday, becoming the first-ever diver to win
back-to-back Olympic individual and synchro titles.
The overwhelming favorite, oldest in the
Chinese squad at 26, seized the lead with her first dive for which

Chinese diver Chen Ruolin
crowned in 10m platform
BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- China recaptured
the women's 10m platform title at the Beijing Olympic Games with
teenager diver Chen Ruolin on top podium on Thursday.
Chen, 15, newly crowned 10m platform
synchro champion with partner Wang Xin, claimed the gold in 447.70
points,while Emilie Heymans of Canada took the silver in 437.05.

black horse spoils China's dream of diving gold sweep
Aussie Matthew
Mitcham outscored top favorite Zhou Luxin at the last second in the
men's platform final of the Beijing Olympics, spoiling China's dream
of a clean sweep of all Olympic diving golds for the first time in
over 50 years.
Mitcham
trailed Zhou in the first five dives, but still over 30 points
