Greece breeze through in 102-61 win over Angola

    BEIJING, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Ioannis Bourousis had 22 points and five rebounds to lead Greece to a 102-61 win over Angola to boost their chance to enter the quarterfinals of the men's basketball tournament at the Beijing Olympic Games on Saturday.

    Greece (2-2), needed a victory over China on Monday to ensure their berth in the top eight, while the winless Angola (0-4) were out of the contention.

    After a modest first quarter ending by 12-11 to Greece, the world runners-up scored 31 points in the second and 38 in the third periods to lead 81-42.

    Eduardo Mingas led Angola by 23 points while Luis Costa adding 16.

    Greece dominated the board 42-25 and shot 27-out-of-45 in the field, 10-out-of-18 on 3-pointer.
