BEIJING, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- A Beijing Olympics official said here on Friday that no counterfeit tickets have been found in Beijing Olympics and spectators whose matches have been rescheduled because of rain would get refund.

    Wang Wei, spokesman for the Beijing Organizing Committee of the 29th Olympic Games (BOCOG), said at a press conference that "up until this point, the Games have been proceeding pretty smoothly."

    He told journalists that the competition venues received 5,256 athletes and 501,188 spectators on Thursday. Some competitions were rescheduled due to shower.

    For rowing, the competitions were rescheduled to Aug. 15 but the start time remained unchanged. For baseball, the matches during the daytime were suspended. The match between China and the Republic of Korea was rescheduled to Aug. 17 at 6:00 p.m.

    For softball, the matches during the day were suspended. The match between the United States and Canada was rescheduled to Aug. 15. For canoe and kayak, unfinished competitions were rescheduled to Aug. 15 at 3:00 p.m. For Tennis, the women's double semifinal was rescheduled to Aug. 16 with the start time unchanged. Some beach volleyball matches were also rescheduled.

    "At all the venues, we have very good refunding and coordination services. Whenever there is rain or rescheduling, we will broadcast to the spectators and they can have the tickets refunded at the Bank of China outlets," Wang said.

    Responding to the question on scalping, Wang said, "We have measures to prevent scalping." Real name system has been adopted for the tickets of opening and closing ceremonies. As to the competitions, quotas are set for each person buying tickets.

    "We have legal measures implemented. Anybody who scalps will be punished by law. Some people stole tickets and they were caught. And we have so far no counterfeit tickets," Wang added.
