BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- China's medal hopeful Pang Jiaying was disqualified from the women's 100-meter freestyle final here on Thursday.

Pang finished her semifinal first but was disqualified for jumping before the start ring.

Pang won a bronze in women's 200-meter freestyle Wednesday.
