BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- The United States (2-0) are seeking a revenge of the semifinal loss at the World Championships two years ago as they face Greece (1-1) in Thursday's preliminary-round Group B match at the men's basketball competitions.

It will be a real contest to the ambitious Americans, who beat China 101-70 Sunday and Angola 97-76 Tuesday.

China (0-2) and Angola (0-2) will meet in a do-or-die match as both need a victory to keep them into the contention of the quarter-finals.

Spain (2-0), which survived a 85-75 overtime win over China Tuesday, is set for their third consecutive victory when they face Germany (1-1).

In Group A, Lithuania (2-0) will take on Russia (1-1), while defending champions Argentina (1-1) face Croatia (2-0).

These clashes will give enough clues to the final standings of the group as the four teams have better chances to enter the next round.

Australia (0-2) and Iran (0-2) will meet in the other game of the pool.
