    BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Maria Valentina Vezzali of Italy outpointed South Korea Nam Hyunhee 6-5 to take the women's individual foil gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Monday.

    In the bronze medal battle, Margherita Granbassi defeated her fellow Italian Giovanna Trillini 15-12.
