U.S. President George W. Bush comes to support women's basketball team in opener

    BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George W. Bush came to watch the American women's basketball team playing the Czech Republic in their group opener on Saturday.

    Bush, who has just attended the opening ceremony of the Games onAug. 8, was accompanied by Val Ackerman, USA Basketball President Val Ackerman and left when the third quarter was finished.

    The U.S. team is drawn with the Czech Republic, Spain, China, Mali and New Zealand in Group B.
