    BEIJING, Aug. 4 -- Mischa Barton doesn't understand TV. The actress - who starred in hit U.S. TV teen drama 'The O.C.' - admits she found it difficult to cope with fame when she started on the small screen.

    She explained: "I will return to TV when I understand it better. Because I didn't understand it. When you're 16, you don't know what the hell you're getting into. Like, I had no clue. Los Angeles was a shock to the system."

    Mischa, who has previously dated Whitestarr front man Cisco Adler and oil heir Brandon Davies, is now romancing Rooney guitarist Taylor Locke but admits her emotions are constantly changing.

    She added to Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "I'm lucky to know you can have more than one soulmate in life. But, like a true actress, I'm always changing the way I feel about who I want to be. Nowadays, I feel I'm settling more into a woman and I am understanding who I am."
