Green Common Domain (OCD) in Beijing, China. Located in the north of
city axes of Beijing, OCD is the biggest venue cluster as well as the
"core zone" of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with 10 venues and 7
non-competition venues including National Stadium, nicknamed the "Bird's
nest" , National Aquatics Center, nicknamed the "Water Cube", Fencing Hall
of National Convention Center, Main Press Center and International
Broadcast Center. Besides, water system in the shape of dragon,
sculptures, sunken garden, Olympic Partner exhibition area and Chinese
stories show area with traditional Chinese culture elements also can be
seen in OCD. Over 30 "Lucky Cloud Houses" in the Chinese stories show area
show cultural heritage and folk custom in different regions of China.
Performances including vocal concert, folk song and dance gala and Beijing
Olympics mascot "Fuwa" show will be presented during the Olympic Games.
Athletes, visitors and journalists from all over the world may enjoy the
high-level sports competition as well as the rich and colorful Chinese
