TOKYO, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stood firm at the mid-107 yen level Monday morning in Tokyo.

    At noon, the dollar traded at 107.50-53 yen, compared with the quotes of 107.65-75 yen in New York and 107.43-44 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday, respectively.

    The euro was quoted at 1.5585-5590 dollars and 167.57-62 yen, against the quotes of 1.5558-5568 dollars and 167.50-60 yen in NewYork and 1.5574-5575 dollars and 167.32-36 yen in Tokyo late Friday.
