BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- China's online advertising market reached 2.8
billion yuan (411 million U.S. dollars) in the second quarter of 2008, up 72.5
percent year-on-year and 33 percent quarter-on-quarter, consulting company
Analyst International (AI) said on Tuesday.
AI said part of the increase reflected the influence of the Olympics, which
prompted sponsors and advertisers to spend more online.
Also, said AI, the quick response of online media after the May12Sichuan
Province earthquake had helped give netizens a more powerful voice, which had
also increased their commercial value.
Chinese internet users spend about 570 million hours online per day.
