IOC member: Beijing Games will be spectacular

    BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Kevan Gosper, a senior member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said on Tuesday he was confident that the Beijing Olympics will go down in history as one of the most spectacular games.

    With exactly 10 days before the opening of the Beijing Games, organizers are putting final touches on the preparations, and Gosper, who arrived in the Chinese capital Monday, said that Beijing already looked ready for the Aug.8-24 event. Full story
