BUENOS AIRES, July 26 (Xinhua) -- A woman was killed Saturday by a passing-by train near the Luomashi-desamal city of Buenos Aires state as she was standing on a railway line to look on at an accident site, police said.

The 30-year-old woman was too concentrated on the horrified scene of an accident to forget she was standing on a railway line and a train traveling by at high speed killed her instantly, the police said.

The tragedy occurred shortly after a collision between a car and a train nearby, in which four people aboard the car were killed on the spot and the driver was seriously injured.

According to the police, the driver of the car broke a guardrail and slammed into a train due to brake failure.
