CAIRO, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Secretary General of the Arab League (AL) Amr Moussa left Cairo Sunday for Khartoum for talks on the crisis between Sudan and the International Criminal Court (ICC), the state MENA news agency reported.

Moussa will meet with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and other senior Sudanese officials during his visit, MENA said.

His visit came after an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo on Saturday during which the ministers lashed out at the ICC accusations against Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

The meeting ended Saturday night with adoption of a draft resolution on the current dispute. The Arab ministers stressed that the move of the ICC would undermine Sudan's sovereignty and only Sudanese courts have jurisdiction on this kind of issues.

Moussa said the Arab foreign ministers have agreed on an action plan to tackle the crisis without elaborating details of the plan.

On July 14, ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo formally requested an arrest warrant against al-Bashir for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in the western Sudanese region of Darfur.

Sudan, which is not a signatory to the ICC, has rejected the ICC allegations against President al-Bashir, dismissing them as "null and false" and maintaining the ICC has no jurisdiction over Sudan.

On Friday, the Sudanese government also ruled out a settlement deal with the ICC on handing over two accused Sudanese officials in return for dropping the warrant arrest against al-Bashir.

The AL chief said Saturday that it is important to coordinate with international organizations to settle the crisis.
