Tuvalu sends three athletes to Beijing

    WELLINGTON, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Tuvalu, a tiny Pacific island, will send its first ever delegation to the Olympic Games next month.

    The Beijing-bound delegation has one man and two women.

    Asenate Manoa, the island's first woman Olympian, will compete in athletics. The tiny squad also features Okilai Tinilau in athletics and Logona Esau in weightlifting.

    Tuvalu was included in the Olympic family at the 2007 International Olympic Committee session in Guatemala.
