DALIAN, Northeast China, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Zou Zhenxian, the holder of the 27-year-old triple jump national record, ran the Olympic torch relay in Dalian, northeast China on Saturday.

Zou set the Chinese record of 17.34 meters at the Athletics World Cup in Italy in 1981.

He competed in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics but came back with only a fourth place. "I really wish I could win an Olympic gold medal, but I believe the Chinese triple jumper can do it someday in the future," said Zou.
