Senior CPC official meets guests from Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda

    BEIJING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Wang Jiarui, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met here Friday with senior party officials from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda separately.

    The CPC is willing to enhance exchanges with the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy (PPRD) of the Democratic Republicof Congo in various fields and make the cooperation achieve fruitful results, said Wang, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

    Wang made the remarks while meeting with a study group of senior cadres led by Aime Ngoy Mukena, national executive secretary of the PPRD.

    Mukena, expressing gratitude for the help the CPC gave to the PPRD, said the PPRD got a deepening understanding of the socialism with Chinese characteristics and the mainstay role the CPC played in China's development.

    He believed party-to-party friendly relationship between the CPC and the PPRD would have a bright prospect.

    When meeting with a study group of cadres of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) headed by a member of the Party's Politburo Joseph Karemera, Wang spoke highly of the relations between China and Rwanda as well as the friendly relationship between the CPC and the RPF.

    He said CPC would strengthen party-to-party relationship with the RPF so as to promote the China-Rwanda friendly relationship of cooperation.

    Wang also briefed the Rwandan guests of China's policies toward Africa and hoped the cooperation between China and Africa would have fruitful achievements.

    Karemera, also a senator in charge of politics and good governance in the senate, appreciated China for its sincere assistance to the African countries including Rwanda.

    Reiterating that the RPF and the Rwandan government would firmly adhere to the one-China policy, Karemera said the RPF highly valued the relationship with the CPC, and would continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the CPC in various fields.
