Liquor chicken brings considerable profits

    BEIJING, July 17 -- A chicken raiser in southern China's Jiangxi province who feeds his livestock medicinal liquor is now seeing considerable profits.

    The medicinal liquor, mixed with 30 types of herbs, is used to feed chicken for three to seven months.

    The chickens sell from 64 to 776 yuan per kg and the raiser earns around 60 yuan profit on each sale. The chickens are sold mainly to deluxe restaurants and have a unique taste and medicinal value.
