JAKARTA, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Japan has decreased import tariffs of 51 Indonesian fish products from the range of 3,5 to 10.5 percents to zero percent since July 1st, Indonesian ministry of marine and fishery said here Tuesday.

    Head of Data and Information of the ministry Soen H Poernomo said that among the products were shrimps, prawns and pearl.

    He said that the decrease was part of the Economic Partnership Agreement between Indonesia and Japan, in which both countries agreed to boost market access for Indonesian fish product to Japan.

    Indonesia has proposed to have the import tariffs of 311 fish products cancelled, but only 51 of them were agreed, Poernomo said, adding that the rest would be continued to negotiate.
