GAZA, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian militants on Saturday fired a home-made rocket into Israel in a latest breach of a fragile ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

Israeli sources said that a rocket, fired from the Hamas-controlled Gaza, landed Saturday in western Negev area, causing no damage or casualties.

No one or group claimed responsibility for the attack.

On Thursday, the militants who said they belong to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement fired two rockets into Israel, and Hamas arrested three of the violators.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry of the dismantled Hamas unity government said those who fire rockets "are out of the national consensus and their goals are doubted."

"Those are working against the Palestinian interest and serve the Zionist agenda," said Ihab al-Ghussein, spokesman for the ministry.

The Egyptian-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militant groups led by Hamas went into effect on June 19, which aims at lifting the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip. Israel, however, closed crossing points into Gaza in retaliation for every rocket attack from Gaza.
