BEIJING, July 2 -- Lily Allen is set to record a duet with Lindsay Lohan. The "Smile" singer reportedly wants to team up with the "Mean Girls" actress - who has had a pop career as well as acting success - for a track on her eagerly-awaited second album, according to New! magazine.

However, the proposed duet, entitled "Wherever We Go," has not gone down well with some music fans who think it could harm Lily's career. Lily became friends with Lindsay after spending time with her and the actress' rumored girlfriend Samantha Ronson, while she was in Los Angeles working on her album.

Lily - who knows Samantha after working with her producer brother Mark Ronson - said: "I came back to the hotel about seven and went straight to dinner with my number one fan. We went to this place called Il Sole, the food was amazing. I love truffles big time and they didn't disappoint. "Samantha brought along a rather famous friend - and about 50 million paparazzi."
