BEIJING, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the G8 summit in Japan from July 7 to 9 at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda.

    Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao announced here on Tuesday.

China, Russia to jointly strengthen dialogue between G8, developing countries

    BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- China and Russia will devote themselves to jointly strengthening the dialogue between the Group of Eight, said a Sino-Russian joint statement signed here Friday.

    The joint statement, named Sino-Russian joint statement on major international issues, was signed after talks between Chinese President Hu Jintao and visiting Russian new President Dmitry Medvedev.  Full story
