Medals
of past Olympic Games were the first artifacts unveiled. These were the medals
of the fist modern Olympic Games in Greece, where only silver and copper were
awarded. Next to them were the rectangular medals of the 1900 Olympics in Paris.
The exhibition tour started in Beijing on August 8th,
2007. In full, it displays some 730 pieces from the international Olympic Museum
in Lausanne, Switzerland.
