BEIJING, June 23 -- Russian director Vladimir Kott's
"Mukha" received the Best Film award at the 11th Shanghai International Film
Festival, which wrapped up on Sunday night.
"Mukha" is about a teenage schoolgirl and her father,
who returns after years of absence.
The Best Director honor went to Maris Martinsons from
Lithuania for "Loss," which also won an award for Best Film Music.

Chinese director Gao Qunshu's "Nick of Time" scored
two awards - the jury award and Best Actor award for Ma Guowei's performance.
Em¨ªlia V¨¢s¨¢ryov¨¢ was named Best Actress for her role
in Czech director Jir¨ª Vejdelek's "V¨¢clav."
The annual Shanghai International Film Festival is
among the major film events held in Asia. The nine-day festival this year has
seen a wide range of forums attended by leading film personalities such as Zhang
Ziyi and Wong Kar-Wai. More than 300 Chinese and foreign movies have been
screened at the festival.
