File photo shows China's eighth batch of female pilot trainees march into the training field. They finished basic training courses and began their first ever practical fighter flight Feb. 19, 2008. China's first female fighter pilots and first female astronauts are to be chosen from this group in 2009. The  female pilot trainees, 35 in total, were recruited from 12 provincial areas across China in 2005. Twenty-nine of them entered the People's Liberation Army Air Force Aviation University in Harbin, capital of northeast Heilongjiang province, Dec. 27, 2007, for basic training courses. (Xinhua Photo)
