TEHRAN, June 17 (Xinhua)-- An Iranian general said Tuesday that any aggressor to Iran will be seen off doomed-fate so that it would be a historical lesson, semi-official Fars news agency reported.
"The recent threats of the Zionist regime's (Israeli) officials against Iran are the outcome of their recurrent defeats," Iranian Army Forces General Bureau Chief Major General Seied Hassan Firoozabadi said.
He added that the "enemies now know that Iranians are, like their armed forces, a unified entity due to their faith and the lessons that they have taken from their supreme leader."
"Iranian nation will demolish any Satan who intends to attack Iran," Firoozabadi said.
He said that "It was the intention of the United States to attack Iran after Iraq and Afghanistan, but the brave Iranians foiled their plots."
"Our claims are not something braggart and we will show our strength in it due time and will destroy the aggressor," Firoozabadi said.
Israeli Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz said earlier this month that Israel will attack Iran if Tehran continues with its program for developing nuclear weapons.
Israeli officials later slashed out at Mofaz's remarks, stressing that the hawkish remarks, which they called as "irresponsible" and "cynical," do not represent Israel's policy.
