HANOI, June 16 (Xinhua) -- A joint venture between three firms from China's Taiwan and a Vietnamese company was licensed Monday to invest 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in constructing Vietnam's biggest software park in southern Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The future 15.9-hectare park named Thu Thiem is expected to house 70,000 software experts, and make annual revenues of 6.5 billion dollars. The park will include offices for software companies to rent, a training center, a shopping mall and apartments.
The joint venture named Associates Vietnam was formed by Teco Electrical and Machinery Company, Shining Group and Industrial Bank of Taiwan, and local joint stock company Saigontel.
