    BEIJING, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao visited a hospital in Longnan city in northwestern China's Gansu Province Sunday afternoon.

    Hu conveyed his condolences to local residents injured in the May 12 earthquake and gave regards to medical staff from home and Pakistan.

    He then visited the Wudu District of the Longnan city to oversee quake relief work there.
