The couple reportedly married 11 years ago and have four children together but have been living separate lives for over a year.

According to court docs, Jennifer and the couple's four children moved out of the family home in 2006 because of what she says was her husband's "adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment."

The docs also say the "Lost in Translation" star "hit his wife in the face and then told her she was 'lucky he didn't kill her' " and that this happened more than once during their marriage.

Bill also reportedly left "threatening voice messages on the home phone which the minor children have heard" and "often" travels outside the state or country without telling his wife.

Claiming Bill Murray's "violent, abusive and erratic behavior" caused the marriage to break, Jennifer sought a restraining order against the "Ghostbusters" star saying she no longer feels safe around him.

She also urged the court to look into the couple's prenuptial agreement, which waives their right to alimony, in order to determine whether it's still valid and enforceable.
