Vietnamese president to visit 3 European countries next month

    HANOI, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese State President Nguyen Minh Triet will pay state visits to Austria, Norway and Greece from June 2-10 to foster friendly and all-round cooperative relations between Vietnam and the three foreign countries, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Thursday.

    Triet will hold talks with Austrian President Heinz Fischer and Greek President Karolos Papoulias, and meet with Norwegian King Harald V, respectively, attend business forums in the three European countries, Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung said at a regular press briefing.

    During Triet's trips, some bilateral agreements and cooperation deals will be signed, he added.
