HANOI, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The United Kingdom will continue to annually
offer a non-refundable aid of about 100 million U.S. dollars to Vietnam from now
to 2011, helping the country develop economy, local newspaper Saigon Liberation

Under the Country Assistance Plan for Vietnam announced on Tuesday, the
United Kingdom will mainly help Vietnam ensure strong economic growth and
opportunities for the poor accessing to capital sources, develop rural primary
education, and build anti-corruption programs.
The UK government has funded Vietnam some 498 million dollars since
1992.
