CARACAS, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan Information Minister Andres Izarra said Sunday that Caracas has photos and other materials to prove that Colombian troops illegally crossed the Venezuelan border last week.

But Colombian Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos said Sunday that an internal investigation showed that Colombian troops had not entered Venezuelan territory.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry publicly accused 60 Colombian soldiers of entering Venezuelan territory Friday, and said that the Venezuelan army forced them to abandon the operation.

It is reported that Colombian troops were found around 800 meters from the Colombia-Venezuela border.
