Jia Qinglin Visits Four European
Countries
LJUBLJANA, May 13 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin
concluded his official goodwill visit to Slovenia on Tuesday, leaving here for
Croatia, the last leg of his four-nation Europe tour.
During his visit to Slovenia, Jia, chairman of the National Committee of
the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), held separate
talks with Slovenian President Danilo Turk, Prime Minister Janez Jansa, and
leaders from both chambers of the Slovenian parliament.
Jia arrived here Saturday for an official visit to Slovenia at the
invitation of Blaz Kavcic, president of the upper house National Council.
Jia met Kavcic for talks on Monday, and he also met with Saso Pece,
vice-president of the National Assembly, the lower house of parliament.
Slovenia is the third leg of Jia's four-nation Europe tour, which has
already taken him to Romania and Hungary.
