VIENNA, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Austria will send up to 25 police and10 members of the Justice Ministry to Kosovo, in light of the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) in Kosovo, According to the release of the Austrian Parliament Correspondence published on Friday.

It said the sending should provisionally be before June 30, 2009.

The Austrian Freedom Party (FPOe) criticized this resolution and pointed out that an independent Kosovo outside the Serbia was not viable and the recognition of Kosovo was "insensitive and inaccurate."

EULEX is the largest civilian mission of European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP). Up to 2,210 police, judicial, custom and administrative experts and an additional 1,233 local staff will participate in the mission.

EULEX has taken over the tasks of United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) in the field of rule of law, which the main task is to help the Kosovo Authorities to build its own police, judicial and custom system.
