LONDON, May 9 (Xinhua) -- London Stock Market dipped by midday on Friday with the FTSE 100 down 83.4 points or 1.33 percent at 6187.4.
The major faller was Carphone Warehouse, which extended its losses from Thursday following its deal with the U.S. retailer Best Buy whose shares climbed 6.6 percent.
Sage Group, which had been one of the top gainers following strong results on Thursday, was down 5.5 percent.
Kazakhmys, the mining company, fell 4.3 percent despite gains on Thursday.
