BEIJING, May 5 (Xinhuanet) -- A week after
making headlines for her controversial Vanity Fair portrait, American teen idol
Miley Cyrus returned to the stage at the Disney Channel Games concert Saturday
night and thanked fans for support, according to media reports Monday.
The 15-year-old star of Hannah Montana did not say
anything about the recent controversy over her semi-nude picture released last
week.
But when spotting a sign in the crowd that said
"Miley I'm praying for you," she responded: "I hope you had an awesome time. I
saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be
more appreciative."
The starlet continued: "Thank you guys for all your
support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love every one of you
and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you."
Cyrus has said she was embarrassed by the provocative
photos in which the teen is topless and clad in just a blanket.
In some other racy photos which spread on the
Internet, Cyrus lies across her then-boyfriend's lap, (her producer's son),
while another showed her revealing part of her green bra.
The Disney Channel has shown their support for the
rising star, saying "a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a
15-year-old in order to sell magazines."
