HANOI, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam has allowed foreign-invested
enterprises in the country, which have been already licensed to import goods, to
sell the imports to various traders, instead of only one trader as previously,
local newspaper Saigon Liberation reported Thursday.
Under the World Trade Organization commitments, foreign traders and
foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam will, on Jan. 1, 2009,be permitted to
fully participate in distribution systems in the country like domestic firms.
Under the commitments, in early 2008, they were allowed to import all goods
which do not fall in the forbidden list, the newspaper said.
