HANOI, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Two separate lightning killed one woman and injured two people in Vietnam's central area Sunday, local newspaper Pioneer reported Monday.
The lighting hit a 26-year-old pregnant woman named Pham Thi Loc when she was closing a door of her house in Hau Loc district. Another lightning injured two people in Thach Thanh district.
Natural disasters, mainly storms and floods, killed 462 people in Vietnam, left 33 missing, injured 856 others, and caused total property losses of over 11.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (718.8 million U.S. dollars) in 2007.
The disasters also destroyed nearly 10,000 houses, and damaged 718 other houses and many transport works nationwide, according to statistics from Vietnam's Central Anti-Flood and Storm Steering Committee.
