Monitor organization: CA election in Nepal free and peaceful

    KATHMANDU, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development which had directly observed and monitored Nepal's election, said Friday the election in Nepal was free and peaceful.

    The forum at a press conference here said the Election Commission had held free and fair elections as per the monitoring of the period on April 5-10.

    The Forum's Belgium representative Saji Thomas said three persons were killed and 33 polling centers needed repolling, and there was attack on human rights activists in Sunsari, Gorkha, Ramechhap, and Rukum districts.

    Five persons were killed, three were abducted, three were missing, and two were tortured, 153 were attacked and 23 were threatened as per the monitoring by the forum from March 23 to April 8.
