BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- China would like to promote cooperation with Vietnam in line with the principles set by the leaders of the two nations and push forward neighborly friendship and partnership, a senior Chinese official said Monday.
Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of the Standing Committee
of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, made the remarks
while meeting with a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of
Vietnam.
To advance the China-Vietnam good-neighborly
relationship and comprehensive cooperation conforms with the interests of the
two nations, said Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist
Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
He hoped the communist youth leagues in both
countries would increase exchanges and learn from each other to promote the
cooperation between the nations.
Vo Van Thuong, first secretary of the Central
Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said the delegation would commit
itself to building friendship between the two communist youth leagues and the
young generation of the two countries.
