HANOI, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The deportation of foreign people who break the law in a country is quite right accordance with the relevant country's law, Vietnamese newspaper Youth on Thursday quoted a local spokesman as saying.

While answering question relating to U.S. deportation of 6,200 illegal Vietnamese immigrants, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Dung said it is similar to the fact that Vietnam has the right of deporting foreigners who violate Vietnamese law in the country's territory.

Some 6,200 Vietnamese people were given in the list of deportation, most of whom are illegal immigrants and tourists staying in the United States.

Vietnam will consider humanitarian and family reunion aspects, and the immigrants' situation in each concrete case to take them back, the spokesman said.

According to a repatriation pact, Vietnamese people who immigrated to the United States after July 12, 1995 and violated U.S. laws will be deported.
