WARSAW, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Preparations for Poland's autumn-planned pullout from Iraq will be completed this month, Polish Defense Minister Bogdan Klich said Tuesday.

Most of the Polish force would probably leave Iraq at the turn of September and October, Polish news agency PAP quoted Klich as saying.

There won't be a single Polish soldier in Iraq after Oct. 31, Klich promised, adding that in April the Poles will transfer parts of their equipment to the Iraqi army.

Polish stabilization forces have been stationed in Iraq since September 2003. Poland currently has about 900 troops deployed in Iraq. To date 22 Polish soldiers died on the mission.
