WARSAW, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Thursday that Poland should be ready for euro adoption in 2012.

"I'm positive that Poland will be prepared to adopt the euro in 2012," Polish news agency PAP quoted Tusk as saying during a visit to Slovenia.

"Whether a decision will be made to make the currency switch then is another issue," he added.

Earlier in March Polish Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski said euro adoption in 2012 was not ruled out and that Poland would join ERM2 (Exchange Rate Mechanism II) in 2009.
