HANOI, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam has recently detected 15 people from
the capital Hanoi, northern Hai Phong city and northern Ha Tay province who have
suffered from cholera.
Of the patients, eight come from Hanoi, six from Hai Phong and one from Ha
Tay, local newspaper Pioneer reported Thursday.
Most of the patients ate dishes made from raw materials before developing
acute diarrhea symptoms.
Local experts have warned that acute diarrhea can strike Vietnam in the
coming time, although the disease's outbreak in the country was announced to
have ended on Dec. 25, 2007.
Between last October and December, acute diarrhea was reported in 13
provinces and cities in Vietnam.
