Special report: Dalai's separatist activities condemned

LHASA, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Power supplies have resumed throughout Lhasa after regional power company staff spent three days repairing facilities damaged during last week's riot, the head of the Tibet Power Company said on Monday.

Company president Wang Qinghua said the rioters had seriously damaged the electricity supply in the regional capital on Friday. They smashed the company's business offices, and destroyed electricity lines.

"The electricity purchase system was paralyzed," said Wang. More than 100 electricity workers and a dozen emergency vehicles were dispatched to ensure repairs were carried out.
