HANOI, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will organize an international conference and showcase christened Security World 2008, the biggest of its kind, with the participation of 30 prestigious speakers and over 20 well-known information technology companies from March 19-20, organizers said Friday.
During the event themed "Strengthening Security Awareness and Deployment" and held by the General Department of Technology under the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the International Data Group, the speakers from Vietnamese ministries and organizations, and such foreign firms as Cisco Systems and Symantec will touch current status and trends of, and solutions to network and data security in the Asia-Pacific region in general and Vietnam in particular.
Delegates to the two-day event in Hanoi will focus their discussions on implementation of data security systems in stock and e-commerce transactions, solutions to prevent and deal with hackers' attacks targeted at mobile phones and computers, and experiences in carrying out surveillance activities based on the employment of advanced cameras and alarm equipment in enterprises and urban areas.
Over 500 delegates and 1,000 visitors will attend Security World 2008, the organizers predicted.
