    BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The following is the biographical sketch of Huang Mengfu, who was elected vice-chairman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Thursday:

    Huang Mengfu

    Male, born in January 1944, of Han ethnic group, native of Shanghai.

    Vice-chairman of the 11th CPPCC National Committee and chairman of All-China Industry and Commerce Federation. Member of China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA), and member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). A senior engineer.

    1962-1968 Studied in the Metallurgy Department in the Beijing Iron and Steel Institute, major in iron & metallurgy

    1968-1976 Worker, section chief at the Nanjing Iron and Steel Plant in Jiangsu province

    1976-1983 Technician, engineer and deputy section chief of Iron Smelting Subplant of the Nanjing Iron and Steel Plant

    1983-1988 Deputy director of the Iron Smelting Subplant of the Nanjing Iron and Steel Plant

    1988-1992 Deputy director and senior engineer of the Nanjing Iron and Steel Plant

    1992-1997 Vice mayor of Nanjing City, vice-chairman and chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CDNCA and chairman of CDNCA Nanjing Municipal Committee
